Café Concret #Montreal

Café Concret is a soirée of experimental puppetry, object theatre, and other media accompanied by a serving of food and live music in Montreal. In a city with a vibrant puppetry community, Café Concret is the only informal (and bilingual) event for short-form performance presented by a mix of emerging and established artists, often presenting works-in-progress in an interdisciplinary context

DETAILS: Café Concret strives to have both English and French language performers at each Café Concret, creating a bilingual community event in a city where the puppetry scene is largely francophone and where the theatre community generally tends to be split between English and French worlds. At the very least, at each event the MCs speak in both languages, and our publicity is bilingual.
